Production and maintenance staff are also required to follow cleanup procedures, PPE specifications for personal protective equipment, and hangtag locking procedures when implementing an energy isolation plan.

Transfer and empty the residual chemicals in the process system in strict accordance with the cleaning procedures; At the same time, steam or clean or purge the process pipeline according to the process characteristics to ensure that the residual chemicals are cleaned out of the pipeline in the operating area as far as possible.

Similarly, the valve at the energy isolation point should be locked so that others cannot operate the valve device. The key of the lock needs to be put into the energy isolation lock box. After the energy isolation is completed, the lock box must be locked by the production personnel, who will save the key.

After confirming the energy isolation plan and installing the energy isolation blind plate on the site, the representatives of the field maintenance team need to lock the energy isolation box at the same time. At this point, the on-site energy isolation plan is protected by both production and maintenance teams.

Before the on-site work, the maintenance team must also confirm and verify the energy isolation plan on site, such as confirming the status of relevant valve switch, no material discharge of shower valve, inching equipment switch and measuring voltage to confirm the isolation of electrical energy, etc., before starting the on-site work formally.

The maintenance representative cannot remove the maintenance lock on the energy lock box until the on-site maintenance work is completed and handed over to the production unit. Only then can the production personnel remove the energy isolation points on the site one by one, record and confirm them on the energy isolation schedule one by one, and restore them to the state of process pipelines and equipment before maintenance.
